Get 250 free Shangri-La Golden Circle hotel points worth a free drink in The Shard

Shangri-La Golden Circle has launched a new promotion to encourage you to download their app.
Full details are on the Shangri-La website here. You will receive 250 points if you download the app and log-in before 28th February.
Non-members will get the bonus if they download the app and use it to open a new Golden Circle account.
Whilst you obviously won’t get a free room or be able to do an airline miles transfer with just 250 points, you CAN use them for a $25 credit towards eating or drinking in Shangri-La Hotels, which includes The Shard in London.
If you are Jade member of Shangri-La Golden Circle, which you can get for free via American Express Platinum, you get a higher rate of $1.25 per 10 points which means you’d get $31 of free food and drink (EDIT: The Shard only gives the standard rate of $1 per 10 points to Jade members due to an opt-out clause).
Be aware that I’m not sure exactly how the process works and whether you need a Golden Circle plastic card in your hand in order to make an instant redemption.
