Full details are on this special website.

Looking at the Upper Class deals, there are some interesting prices available.

Virgin Atlantic Winter sale

The standout deal looks like Johannesburg at £1,799.  This is available until 30th June, as long as you book 14 days in advance.

There are also several US routes included in the sale if you can travel in April, July/August or November 2019.

Upper Class prices out of London include:

Boston £2,098

Here is our last review of Virgin Upper Class and here is our last review of Virgin’s Clubhouse lounge in Heathrow Terminal 3.  Virgin’s official Upper Class website is here.

There are also some decent Premium Economy deals out there which will be especially interesting for anyone chasing Virgin Flying Club tier points without paying for Upper Class.  Destinations from London include:

  • New York £782
  • Boston £724
  • Washington £782
  • Miami £783
  • Los Angeles £795
  • Las Vegas £770
  • Shanghai £754
  • Barbados £689

Economy deals are also available, starting at £279 for Miami (from London) and for Boston and New York (from London or Manchester).

Package deals are available from £379 (three nights in New York or Boston with flights in Economy).  A potentially great deal is a seven night flight and hotel package in Barbados from £499.  More ‘flight and hotel’ deals can be found on Virgin’s dedicated packages site.

Here is our review of Virgin’s new Economy Delight product, launched earlier this year, and this is why the maths says you should book it.

Travel dates and full details of what is available can be found on the Virgin Atlantic sale website here.

You need to book by 31st January 2019 at the latest, but there is limited availability and it is worth jumping in now if you want to secure key dates.

  • John says:

I have to say I think the Upper Class section of the “sale” is a bit of a joke. With the exception of one or two Washington fares none of the prices seem to have actually dropped. An UC fare to Boston that I’ve been tracking for a couple of months has actually gone UP £100 to the sale fare when it was cheaper before the “sale.”

There are sales and there are “sales”, and I think this is one of the latter, at least for UC. For me to consider a £2000+ fare a “sale” the price had better have dropped by £500 +.

  • Billy says:

Considering that the day before the sale, New York was £1.6k rtn, (and in fact the dates I wanted shot up from £1.6k to £3.1k) I’ll pass. Thanks but no thanks Virgin.

  • Lawrence says:

Once again Scotland doesn’t exist as far as Virgin Atlantic’s sales are concerned!
Also, Oli Byers SVPL is not contactable to answer why not!

    • Mark2 says:

That suggests to me that they can sell the seats from Scotland at the full price.
Remember the purpose of sales: to get rid of unsold stock.

    • Rob says:

Oli’s email is the same format as every other Virgin employees email!

But as he runs Flying Club and has nothing to do with sale fare pricing I’m not sure what use he’ll be ….

  • Lawrence says:

My notification of the sale came from the Flying Club!
Here’s the waffle I got the last time I tried to get a response:-

    Hello Lawrence.

    Thank you for your reply.

Sadly Oli is not able to be contacted by members of the Flying Club programme, so we would not be able to give you his email address, or forward on your email. But please be assured all our great fares will be detailed online, and any one of the Customer Service team, will be more than happy to help you book a new ticket.

Thank you for contacting Virgin Atlantic.

    Kind regards

Some great prices for the hotel / flights.
4nights Accomadation in midtown NYC and 2 return flights from Man in economy classic (So upgradable with miles to premium) for £978.(Plus I think £50 off too)
Just hope I can get a similar deal for Jan 20.
The hotel itself was about 500.
