What happened to the Hilton Sa Torre hotel in Mallorca?

Hilton Sa Torre Mallorca has joined Thomas Cook.
We mentioned last year that Hilton Sa Torre in Mallorca – almost certainly the only Hilton in the world in a 14th century building with its own windmill – was leaving the chain.
This is a shame as it was a surprisingly upmarket hotel which I reviewed here.
For anyone wondering what became of it, it has signed a franchise deal with Thomas Cook and will join the ‘adults only’ Casa Cook chain later this year.
This is a little odd. Casa Cook
“stands for a new breed of hotels, bringing an urban zeitgeist to the beach. For all who seek a laid-back, stylish and authentic holiday experiences.”
…. which is about the last thing you could have said about the hotel under Hilton management.
How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (December 2024)
There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards. Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.
There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.
You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.
