Use your points to see comedians and concerts with IHG Rewards Club Access

Although we cover the Hilton Honors and Marriott Bonvoy ticket auctions on a regular basis when they run good UK redemption opportunities, we have been less vocal about IHG’s Rewards Club Access program.

The reason is simple – there was rarely anything available in the UK.

Things may be changing, however.  IHG Rewards Club appears to have done a deal with the SSE Wembley Arena and a few concerts are currently available.

You can see the list of current redemptions available here.  Most are ‘buy it now’ redemptions and do not require bidding.  They includes:

2 tickets to see Russell Howard at the SSE Wembley Arena for 15,000 points

VIP package for two for Russell Howard, including a three course meal, for 40,000 points

‘Premium Package’ for two for Stepback! 90s VS 00s at the SSE Wembley Arena for 25,000 points

2 tickets to see Disney on Ice at the SSE Wembley Arena for 15,000 points

2 tickets to see pianist Havasi at SSE Wembley Arena for 15,000 points

…. as well as a variety of KISS FM hosted themed concerts

For auction, you can currently bid on a spa weekend break in Edinburgh at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel. This includes two nights accommodation, a three course dinner with a bottle of wine, a 55 minute spa treatment per guest and £200 transport credit.

The current bid is 104,000 points which is an excellent offer based on our 0.4p per point valuation of an IHG point.  You choose the dates you visit, subject to a few blackouts.

Are the concert tickets good value?  Taking a look at the Russell Howard tickets, it looks like you would be paying £80+ for two by the time you add on ticketing fees. You would be redeeming your IHG points at just over 0.5p per point which makes this a decent deal.

Some of the other events are harder to compare due to the range of tickets still on sale – IHG does not make it clear where you will be sitting – but you will often find it is a good deal to use your points.
