Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get 600 easy FREE Avios when you join ‘Rewards for Thoughts’

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

One of the lesser known British Airways Executive Club partners is market research group ‘Rewards for Thoughts‘.  It is offering a generous 600 Avios points just for signing up and completing one survey.

You can find details on ba.com here.

It seems simple enough.  Once you sign up, you will be emailed consumer surveys on an occasional basis.

You will earn 25 Avios for every short survey you complete and 50 Avios for every long survey.  The points will post within five days, they promise.

To be honest, I doubt this is worth your time for such a small number of points but you could always do them on the train in the morning or in front of the TV.

However, when you complete your first survey you will receive a bonus of 600 Avios points.  This is more like it!

Whether or not you cancel your membership after the points post from your first survey is up to you.  It is worth joining and completing one survey.

You can join via this page of the British Airways website.

Interestingly I am getting emails inviting me to participate in a survey for 50 avois – but to unlock the survey i have to give them access to my smart tv, mobile phone location history or similar. Nice try!

  • Jon says:

Why do any companies trust this data from these survey sites? It is like those buttons in hospitals and Ikea – why make major business decisions based on random button pressing?!

    • JamesLHR says:

The same way Heathrow satisfy the CAA with those smiley face machines at security!

  • Chris says:

How long before avios are posted after completing the first survey?

  • RonaldDacey says:

Was I get through to the survey I get:

    Error
We were not able to send you to the survey at this time, most likely due to a configuration error.

  • Henry Larsen says:

    Only for UK residents

  • Scotia says:

Scam … 20 mins later and I still haven’t completed a entire survey. Keep stopping half way through and resetting itself …. asking me to try another

  • Sue says:

Seems like a total rubbish scam. I get three emails a day asking my to complete a survey but when I click on take the survey it says ‘try again later ‘

No chance of clocking up your 600 points.

    Any comments HFP?

    • Shoestring says:

sure, I set up 6 a/cs on the 20th (all genuine people in our HHA) and they did 6 trouble-free surveys straight away, OK a couple of times a survey wasn’t the one for us 🙂 – but they just immediately opened up another survey

and it’s extremely easy to unsubscribe if you don’t want further emails

not a scam, but possibly they reached their current quota/ or user error, lack of patience

    • Rob says:

RFT has been going for many, many years and has been a BA partner for eons too. Clearly many people find it useful, but an equal number find them a pain in the arse after a while. Wait for a short survey you can qualify for, do it and then cancel!
