Whilst this is unlikely to be hugely relevant, given the lack of travelling at present, hotels are still open in the UK and people are still staying in them.  I also know that some people are moving into hotels to protect their families if they believe they need to isolate.

Hilton Honors has just extended its Spring promotion, Points Unlimited, to 31st May.

You can register for it here.

It is a simple offer.  You will earn 2,000 bonus Hilton Honors points for every stay up to 31st May.

There is no cap to what you can earn and there are no minimum stay requirements.  The bonus should also trigger on reward stays given how similar promotions have worked in the past.  You will earn an additional 10,000 bonus Hilton Honors points for every TEN nights you complete although that is clearly not easy in the current environment.

The offer was originally due to end on 3rd May before it was extended.

Given that I value a Hilton Honors point at around 0.33p, you are getting a £6.66 additional return per stay on top of your base points and any status bonus.  For someone who only does cheap one-night stays this looks OK.

You can register for the offer here.

Hilton Points Unlimited

There is no small print except that you need to register in advance via the Hilton website:

There is no minimum stay requirement

Existing bookings still count

All Hilton Family properties (Hilton, Hampton, Curio, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad etc) are taking part

Conclusion

What is good about this offer is that it kicks in from your first stay.  It is very unlikely that you will be doing a lot of hotel stays over the next couple of months, so an offer which does not require 2+ stays to activate is useful.

It is also true that any hotel stay you do is likely to be a short one and a cheap one.  This means that Hilton’s flat bonus of 2,000 bonus points per stay, irrespective of how little you pay, is a decent offer.

You register here for ‘Points Unlimited’.

  • Anna says:

It says in the Hilton app that stays up to April 30th can be cancelled, but after that only if the booking was made after March 12th. How have people been cancelling stays booked before March 12th for dates after April 30th?

    • Andrew L says:

I wasn’t replying to your message, sorry, but why don’t you call them & request cancellation due to the coronavirus issue and I guarantee that they will cancel your booking.

By clicking on ‘reply’ and then replying to @Anna’s message, you kind of did reply to her, bog roll thief or not.
