Hilton’s latest luxury brand, LXR, had added a new property – Susona Bodrum.

This is a rebranding of the old Nikki Beach Bodrum hotel.

LXR is intended for luxury hotels which want to have a high degree of operational independence but which still want to be part of a global sales and marketing operation.  This is yet another conversion to join this new brand, following the existing London (The Biltmore Mayfair) and Dubai properties.

Susona Bodrum Hilton LXR hotels

Susona is a boutique resort of just 76 rooms, suites and villas.  It is located five miles from Bodrum and enjoys its own private beach, spa and rooftop infinity pool.

All rooms are described as having ‘panoramic sea views’ which, looking at the image above, seems very possible as it is built on a pensinula.  That said, some room descriptions say ‘partial sea view’ when you come to book.

Rooms in August are around €400-€500 per night, which makes a Hilton Honors redemption excellent value at 95,000 points per night.  You also receive ‘5 for 4’ on Hilton Honors redemptions if you have Hilton elite status at Silver or above.

The hotel website is here if you want to find out more.

Two of the room categories in the LXR are listed as ‘Partial Sea View’ – whoever wrote the press release perhaps got a bit carried away describing that as ‘panoramic’!

  • Lady London says:

TBH even in a lounge famine I’d swerve the Aspire Lounge at T5. Even if I still bothered with an unlimited Priority Pass.

I’d he happy to pay at any of Pret a Manger, Fortnum & Mason or Gordon Ramsay instead. All of which should cost me no more than about half the door rate (not that anyone should pay it) of Aspire T5.

    • memesweeper says:

My last big family trip was the first in ages from London where we didn’t all qualify for the lounge, so we plumped for Gordon Ramsey. Really decent.

Has anyone stayed at the Hilton Dalaman / Sargieme?

    • ankomonkey says:

4 times! 5th time due this October. It has great facilities for kids (kids club, water slides, beach) and the food is very good. I’ve been upgraded on all 4 stays so far. Would recommend.

Oh good. I’ve a booking in September, booked last September. Will have to see how things are nearer the time but hopefully it will be safe enough to go.

  • ChrisC says:

Any thoughts on when a slot waiver (or not) would be announced for the winter season (which I think starts last Sunday in October I.e. when the clocks go back) ?

I have (supposed) 2 short hauls ex LGW in October and December and knowing if they are going to be shifted to LHR knowing sooner rather than later would be beneficial to my sanity! Would also mean I’d be asking for a refund sooner as well.

    • Rhys says:

I can’t imagine for a while yet – I think people will want to wait and see how things change in the next few months.

  • Neil Spellings says:

Disappointed that there are no standard reward room offered at the LXR Bodrum if you include a child, not even any twin rooms. You only get premium reward rooms offered, and I’m not going to pay 5 x the points when one can easily share a double.

    • Don says:

Book and email the hotel, is that so difficult?

    • Anna says:

This is quite common – you can ask the hotel to put another bed in the room or upgrade you to a family room if you have status, however this depends on availability and the hotel’s own policy on what they will and won’t do and how many people they allow to share a room.

    • Lottie says:

I always book and then email as Don says, I’ve not had a problem yet. Sometimes had an upgrade out of it.

      • Secret Squirrel says:

Has Bodrum gone up market in recent years? I visited Bodrum in my younger years, all nightclubs and thousands of young guns like Ibiza. Those were the days….
