The Government has announced its weekly tweaks to the UK travel corridors list.

Uruguay, Namibia and the US Virgin Islands have been removed from the travel corridors list due to increased levels of coronavirus.

From 4am on Saturday 19th December, anyone returning to England from the Namibia, Uruguay and the US Virgin Islands will have to self isolate for ten days.

Travel corridors update

However, you will be able to reduce your quarantine period with a negative covid test five full days after your arrival. More details are on GOV.UK here.

The official ‘travel corridor’ list – which has not yet been updated – is on this page of the Government website.

To provide some stability over the Christmas period, the next update is scheduled on 7th January. Only emergency changes will be announced in the interim.

Hi Rob – quarantine requirement has been reduced to 10 days (article still says 14).

Is there a list of where we can go with what restrictions?

      • Paul Pogba says:

The only list I’ve seen on the gov.uk website is one which requires no quarantine on return. I’m after a list of countries that let people travelling from the UK in. Coming back is less of an issue with work from home.

        • Adam says:

The skyscanner mobile app has a function that allows you to see the quarantine/test rules for every country. It means you have to look at each country individually, so not as simple as a list of all quarantine-free countries, but is a good place to start I think.

Thanks, this is what I was after (I’m usually a momondo man) but the destination list wasn’t 😂

  • Dominic says:

Namibia? Outside of the capital, you’ll struggle to bump into anyone to catch Covid, I’d have thought!
