Redeem your Virgin Points for limited edition socks!

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

If you are in need of socks, or if you have a very small number of Virgin Points sitting dormant in an account you oversee, help is at hand.

EDIT: sorry, the socks are now sole-d out

When Virgin Atlantic launched its Tel Aviv route (see Rhys’s report from the launch trip here), it produced a limited-run collection of socks. Don’t ask why. The design is inspired by ‘white shores, sapphire sea, sun loungers and a badly needed cocktail’.

With Virgin Atlantic unable to give them out on flights at the moment, Virgin Red is letting you redeem Virgin Points for them via their app.

The socks cost 800 points per pair. It’s not clear who made them or what they are made of so I can’t comment on the value, but you can’t argue that it isn’t something different.

You can order by downloading and logging in to the Virgin Red app. Delivery is promised within 10 working days.

If you are not already a Virgin Red member, you can join – for free – here.
