American Express has launched a batch of new ‘100% cashback’ offers this morning.

Unscientifically, the offers appear to be targetted at free cards and the cheaper paid cards, such as the Nectar American Express and Platinum Cashback.

I don’t have any of them across the many cards in my family, but we only have the pricier fee-based cards.

Rhys has them on his American Express Rewards credit card. The person who sent me the screenshot below has them on his Amazon Business American Express and the no-longer-available Platinum companion credit card.

This is what you should see:

Most of these will involve visiting a major railway station in order to use them. Millie’s Cookies has an online option (although, erm, the website doesn’t appear to accept Amex!) and can also be found in many shopping centres.

All of these brands are owned by the same company, SSP Group, which dominates airport and railway food operations. Don’t think that the food outlets at Heathrow or St Pancras compete with each other, because they don’t …..

The offers run to mid February, but you should register now. Millie’s Cookies, for example, is restricted to the first 10,000 people to register although Upper Crust will accept 30,000. I am guessing that American Express is underwriting this offer to a significant degree.

“ Most of these will involve visiting a major railway station in order to use them”

Based on data from last week, numbers visiting train stations has dropped off massively again

  • KP says:

I have all of them on my free Amex card. Not on marriott, BA, Plat or Gold

  • KP says:

Most of them are, so I would expect it to be as well

  • Geoff 1977 says:

Given the quality of food you’ll get, I’d suggest that this is still poor value for money 🤣

  • Andrew. says:

There’s also various LBG, Barclaycard and VM offers at BV for a 10% rebate if you don’t think you’ll hit the £600.

  • Danny says:

The Millie’s one works in a lot of towns / shopping centres, not just rail and online.

(Another data point, I have it on my ARCC but not on my paid cards)

  • Kevin C says:

Got all of them on the see-through free rewards card. Perfect for a healthy January.
