The Samuel Ryder Hotel St. Albans, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Hilton has just opened its first UK Tapestry Collection hotel in the Roman city of St Albans, but we thought it was still worth squeezing into this 2022 preview. Inspired by the business itself the hotel features simple but beautiful interiors with lots of green. The website is here.

  • Joe N says:

It’s great to see Hilton adding additional resort hotels in Europe!

  • Lady London says:

Merry Christmas Rhys but that heading is far too cheesy 🙂

  • Timothy says:

Agreed. It’s the whole you thing. It has its moment in the right place but it’s used far too excessively. That’s the difference between Oxford and Cambridge. Or rather Sheffield and Cambridge. And our current national leadership is exemplifying this. ‘Be quiet’ is what we used to say. And with good reason 🤣

  • Save East Coast Rewards says:

Hopefully the Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone will be open in time for the 2022 British Grand Prix

    • yorkshireRich says:

How much will that be on race weekend? 50 quid a night?

    • Andrew says:

Friends used to stay at Macdonalds at Woodstock then another firm offered helicopter transfers to Silverstone from London Oxford International Airport.

There’s now a Premier Inn at OXF, so if Helicopter transfers are available it might be something to consider. Certainly better than being stuck in Silverstone traffic.

  • Adrian says:

Rhys, when you click through the Hilton Dubai link they are accepting reservations from Sept 1st, so even later!

  • ee says:

Tapestry in St Albans has some very low rates available – £59 for 2nd/3rd Jan…

  • Boi says:

So which resort is best in Maldives?
    Doesn’t matter which chain…

  • Nick G says:

Thought Conrad Spain was opening this year?
