Get 5,000 bonus points if you (or your partner?) are a new Hilton Honors member

Hilton Honors has rolled over its offer of up to 5,000 bonus points if you sign up as a new member.

As you can see from this page, new Hilton Honors members will receive:

  • 2,000 bonus points after your first stay within 6 months
  • 3,000 bonus points after your second stay within 6 months

This is on top of your standard points plus any points for the regular Hilton Honors bonus promotions.

Get 5,000 bonus points for new Hilton Honors members

As a regular Head for Points reader you are probably already a member of Hilton Honors.   However, you could potentially sign up your partner and use that account for your next two stays.

Do not do this if you have Hilton Honors status, however, as it would mean the loss of elite status benefits and the loss of your status bonus.

Hilton Honors points can be transferred for FREE to any other member via the transfer page of here.  You do not need to have the same address.  This means that your partner could move the points over to you after the stay.  My wife does this after any work-related Hilton stays she does, as my status is higher than hers and it makes sense than any redemptions we do are booked from my account.

The sign-up bonus offer runs until at least 31st March 2022.  There does not appear to be a special sign-up link so it seems to apply to all new members.  Full details are on here.

PS. Don’t forget to also register for the current Hilton Honors ‘open to all’ offer of 2,500 bonus points per stay until 1st May

Can you remind me how Hilton deal with multiple rooms? Currently have 2 rooms booked (on my Diamond) but wondering about using this offer for person in second room.

Have you checked the Hilton forum?

If you merge the two rooms onto one bill, you’d get points for both but only elite night credit for one room.

You can cancel 1 in your booking.
Then rebook, that’s what we’ve just done.
Just check prices haven’t changed and you had a cancellable booking..
If you want connecting rooms, email the hotel..
