UPDATE – JUNE 2022:  This article is now out of date, but don’t worry.  We produce a monthly directory of the top UK travel credit card offers – please click HERE or use the ‘Credit Cards’ menu above.  Thank you.

Until 18th July 2022 there is an astonishing special offer on the two Barclaycard Avios Mastercard credit cards. You get 50,000 Avios on the Avios Plus Mastercard and 10,000 Avios on the free Avios Mastercard. You can apply here. We strongly recommend getting the Avios Plus card whilst this offer is running.

It is your LAST CHANCE to take advantage of Capital on Tap’s biggest ever promotion for its small business credit card. This is an exclusive offer for Head for Points readers.

You have only a few HOURS left to take part.

Until Friday 4th February, you can earn up to 30,000 bonus Capital on Tap points when you take out a Capital on Tap Business Rewards Credit Card.

30,000 Capital on Tap points are worth 30,000 Avios or £300.

How it works

Apply for a Capital on Tap Business Rewards Credit Card before Friday night and, once approved, you will receive 10,000 points as soon as you make your first transaction.

A further 20,000 points will wing their way to you once you’ve spent £5,000 on the card in the first three months.

You will keep the initial 10,000 points even if you fail to spend £5,000 to earn the additional 20,000 points bonus.  It is still worth applying even if you think that £5,000 of spending within three months may not be possible.

You can apply here.

Do you qualify for this offer?

This offer is limited to readers who have a business which is run through a limited company or LLP.

At present, sole traders and regular partnerships cannot apply unfortunately.

This offer is only available to new Capital on Tap customers, although if you were previously a customer and cancelled before the start of 2022 you are welcome to reapply.

How to apply for the Capital On Tap Business Rewards Visa

This is a HfP exclusive, so you MUST apply via this link. This is important as applications made through the standard Capital on Tap home page will not receive the extra bonus.

Benefits of the Capital on Tap Business Rewards Visa card

Alongside the huge sign-up bonus of 30,000 points, here are five additional reasons that HfP readers may like the Capital on Tap Business Rewards Credit Card:

  • It’s a Visa card. Capital on Tap credit cards are Visa cards, making them the ONLY Visa or Mastercard cards that allow a business to earn Avios (and, of course, are much more widely accepted than Amex for B2B transactions)
  • You earn 1 point per £1. You earn 1 Capital on Tap point per £1 you spend. Capital on Tap points can be transferred into 1 Avios per point or redeemed for 1p cashback.
  • You won’t pay FX fees abroad. This is the only Avios-earning credit card, personal or business, which does not charge foreign exchange fees when used abroad.
  • Quick points transfer to Avios. Capital on Tap is the only UK Avios financial partner which has virtually instantaneous transfers of points.  They reach your British Airways Executive Club account as soon as you’ve completed a transfer from your Capital on Tap account.
  • You can cash in your points. If you decide you don’t want any more Avios at any time, Capital on Tap will let you cash-in your non-transferred points for 1p per point of real money.

On top of these benefits, cardholders also get:

  • UNLIMITED supplementary cards
  • A credit facility of up to £150,000
  • Up to 56 days to pay before interest is incurred on card purchases when you repay in full
  • No FX fees and no UK ATM fees
  • Account integrations with Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and more

What are the fees and interest rate?

The annual fee for the card is just £99 and is completely tax deductible

With this offer, you can redeem the 10,000 points earned from your first transaction for cashback, and in effect get your first year on Business Rewards for free. You may prefer, of course, to transfer those 10,000 points into 10,000 Avios instead.

Your interest rate is based on your business profile and can be as low as 9.9% APR.  The standard interest rate for marketing purposes is 39.9% APR.

Who is Capital on Tap?

Many of our regular readers will already be familiar with Capital on Tap. If the name is new to you, you should know that Capital on Tap has provided over £3.5 billion of funding for over 125,000 UK businesses.

It launched its Avios-earning Business Rewards Credit Cards in 2018 and they have been very popular with SME-owning Head for Points readers ever since.

Conclusion

With their biggest-ever bonus available, if you have a limited company or LLP, you should seriously consider a Capital on Tap Business Rewards Credit Card.

If you can spend £5,000 in three months, you’ll receive 30,000 Capital On Tap points, redeemable for £300 or 30,000 Avios, as a sign-up bonus in return for an annual fee of £99. The bonus alone makes the card worth a serious look.

As you receive 10,000 points shortly after your first transaction, the £99 fee is instantly covered. Because the £99 annual fee is a tax-deductible expense, the net cost to you will be lower.

Some business owners reading this may already have a British Airways Accelerating Business American Express, American Express Business Platinum or American Express Business Gold. You should still consider the Capital on Tap Business Rewards Credit Card in addition to your Amex as it is ideal for use outside the UK and at places where American Express is not accepted.

Don’t forget – you have to use this link to apply to get the 30,000 bonus points.

The closing date is tomorrow, Friday 4th February 2022, so you don’t have much time left.
