Hyatt has confirmed that its new 7Pines Resort Sardinia will open on 16th July.

It will sit inside the Destination by Hyatt brand. It was not a surprise to see this resort join Hyatt after the original 7Pines Resort in Ibiza signed last year.

To quote:

“Set amidst lush gardens, secluded beaches and centuries old rock formations, 7Pines Resort Sardinia is a beachfront resort surrounded by untouched coastline and a nature reserve. Guests will be able to choose from three restaurants and three bars, as well have access to a private beach and pier with a beach club. In addition, the resort offers four secluded coves, two pools, a spa and a wellness center. Overlooking the archipelago of La Maddalena, guests can expect spectacular sunset views and effortless access to the island’s sea adventures, winding pathways and secret coves.”

This resort is exceptional value for World of Hyatt points – even if you buy them.

Rates start at €1,323 per night in July and hit €1,666 in early August.

Points rooms are not loaded yet, but cannot cost more than 35,000 World of Hyatt points per night. Under the current ‘buy points’ promotion, you can buy points for 1.3p each. This would translate to £455 per night if you bought points, compared to £1,390 for cash in early August.

Remember that Hyatt guarantees that you can book a standard room for points as long as a standard room is available for cash. Suite upgrades for points are also likely to be available.

The 7Pines Resort Sardinia website is here. The nearest airport, 35km away, is Olbia.

PS. The maths of buying points vs spending cash is very similar at 7Pines Ibiza in peak season.
