The Aerotel, in Heathrow Terminal 3, is running a special offer for anyone needing a room by 31st March.

If you book by 24th March, you will get a discount of 20% off the best available rate.

You need to use promo code SAVEME20 and book at least seven days in advance.

Aerotel Heathrow Terminal 3

You will get an additional 10% off if you sign up for Plaza Premium’s free Smart Traveller loyalty scheme, as Plaza Premium owns the hotel. I managed to get a £135 rate down to £97.20 by combining both offers.

The Aerotel is located directly in Terminal 3, on the Arrivals level. With British Airways now back in Terminal 3, you are more likely to be using it.

We reviewed Aerotel Heathrow Terminal 3 here. Whilst many rooms are windowless, it has been fitted out to a high standard and has a smart residents lounge.

You can find the Aerotel T3 booking page here. Remember to use the SAVEME20 code.

Hilton buy back is only offering me 80% bonus.

    • SteC says:

      Same for me

    • Nick says:

Ditto! Buy 5,000+ points and get 80% bonus.

    • Nick says:

      90% for me. Odd.

  • BJ says:

Are there any quick and easy ways to earn 150 clubcard points
these days without buying groceries or petrol? Clubcard feels like the loyalty scheme that time forgot.

    • captaindave says:

I havnt seen a Clubcard points deal IN STORE for a long time now, as they are concentrating on the Clubcard Price scheme, whereby certain products are cheaper if you produce a clubcard when paying..

They do put some vouchers in my online account every now and again – just had 5 vouchers for 25 points each for buying products that we buy anyway, plus a double points voucher that can be used twice. But we shop regularly at local Tesco, at least once a week.

I did get a 450 point “till spit” voucher for spending on F&F clothing( no min spend ) so bought a £6 pack of socks for work.. maybe i should have photo-copied that voucher a few times haha.

      • captaindave says:

There is also the ink cartridge scheme, but definitely not quick points, and no longer reliable, since they stopped the sending to recycling factory direct ( theres a big container in store ) i gave up on that as i didnt have points added ( got them put on by calling the clubcard customer service )

        • MikeL says:

Agree, thought that the in store ink cartridge recycling bin would help but despite depositing 7 cartridges well before Xmas, the points never posted.

          • Wally1976 says:

You might get the points eventually, I don’t think they empty those bins very often!

          • Lady London says:

I only ever did it twice. One shipment was lost without trace and the other, which by then I’d paid signed-for, was only partially credited, well below the number of, actually, new and unused cartridges in the envelope.

I decided it was run by dishonest crooks who were probably using my cartridges to do their own recycling. I didn’t bother again.

Like a lot of these types of opportunities I am sure it had been very good earlier, but by the time I got there it had been hollowed out.

      • BJ says:

Thanks, forgot about the coupons. I ‘ll check our accounts later to see if we got any.

    • aseftel says:

If you already have some vouchers, would redeeming one with £1.50 change do it? Stretches the definition of ‘quick and easy ‘, but the 25pts monthly surveys will make a dent in it.

      • BJ says:

No we are under 150 points each at the moment after converting all to NowTV before the option closed early last year. Simplest option is probably to try a few groceries in hope of till coupon or just get petrol there in next month.

      • Rui N. says:

They make a dent when they post… I think lately I get them posted 1 out of every 3/4 months, if that.

    • Secret Squirrel says:

      Ink cartridge recycle.

    • BuildBackBetter says:

Don’t you get points on buying third party gift cards?

    • avstar says:

IIRC someone posted a long time ago that buying gift cards through Tesco Pay+ earned points, might be worth a try?

  • Andrew J says:

Lots of other airlines fly from T3 including Virgin Atlantic – not just the handful of BA flights back there now, so plenty of reasons for staying at this hotel existed already.

  • Trev says:

Re Tesco/Virgin I have already got auto convert activated. To get this bonus I assume that I should un-activate and then re-activate?

  • vol says:

Found £36.00 in my clubcard ‘drawer’ as a result of this article. My children have been collecting in the background and I forgot about it 😀

Silly question but is it like Accor where I have to opt in somewhere to receive the 2500 points bonus, or does the system know automatically that I have done this by a particular date? Thanks

    • Rob says:

Automatic if you have followed the steps.

    • BJ says:

Rob explains dates and how in the article and even provides the links. Clubcard call centre have always been helpful resolving issues IME so probably best you give them a call. Note that your existing vouchers will not be autoconverted, you need 150 points pending within the current collection period.

      • vol says:

That’s fine, I meet the criteria in that respect (550 or something like that) thanks!

  • vol says:

I have also hit a blocker – it is saying ‘please enter a valid membership number’ – my membership number is very valid – what is wrong with it? :-/

  • Doog1000 says:

Did anyone (who’d got the bonus before) get the bonus again during the 2000 point promo offered by Virgin in the last quarter?

    • Rui N. says:

      I didn’t.

      • BJ says:

Didn’t get one last time I tried too. I think days of getting this multiple times may be over. However, for the sake of a few minutes and 150 points I will try again.

  • RussellH says:

Only 80% bonus here too – not worth it.
What would be nice would be to get the points from last months Hilton Visa bill.
I see that there was a thread in the forum about this, but it has been inactive since the end of last month.
