Qatar Airways rolls out Diptyque amenity kits

Qatar Airways has upgraded its onboard product significantly with the roll out of Diptyque amenity kits to business and first class passengers.

The new kits, which come in three versions, are a big step up from the BRIC and Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio it has used since 2019 and rival Etihad’s luxurious Acqua di Parma kits.

The kits come either in a small square unisex gift box (photo below) or a similarly sized black pleather pouch for men and a white and black clutch for women. Both contain lip balm, body lotion, face cream, eyemask, socks and Diptyque’s Eau Rose or ‘34 Boulevard Saint Germain’ eau de toilette.

For now, Qatar is only guaranteeing the new kits on select routes, including flights to the Americas, Australia, New Zealand and A380 services from London and Paris. That said, Rhys got the new amenity kits on three of four Qatar Airways flights on his trip to Thailand earlier this month so they are clearly being loaded more widely.

He described the kits as ‘seriously impressive’ and one of the best he had ever received, with ‘very generously sized’ creams.

Last year Qatar Airways rolled out Diptyque toiletries in onboard toilets and in lounges so the arrival of the amenity kits completes the rollout.

      No. It WILL happen for transatlantic flights at some point soon, because Lingus is now in the pricing joint venture, but not other flights.

        From the Aer Lingus booking page for DUB-PHL there is this on the fare selection menu:
        Avios and Tier Credits will be awarded on applicable fares
        Is that BA tier credits or AerLingus tier credits?

    Absolutely brilliant . – Esactly why i love HFP!!

    Had booked a economy LHR- MIAMI CANCUN>LHR (via 90m connection in Phili) for half term for a 4 day trip to Miami beach and then to see the launch at the space centre. followed by a cheap AA flight to cancun for 5 days in a flash All inc.
    Paid £640pp

    Just changed it to ex dublin for £1100pp inc 380tp.

    £500pp gets us J both ways (will skip last leg to dublin) and ill add a 2 night stop in dublin on the way for the cost of an £70 flight out of LHR , plus a load of IHG points.

    TP will keep us both in silver another year .

    Just a question on the throne seats for the AL A321 – would you not rather sit together for at least the way out?

      Could you tell me how you got this to work on the Aer Lingus site? Flying into Miami and out of Cancun?

      Did you just choose to get a return from one location?

      What price search engine did you use if not Aer Lingus?

        I didn’t book via aer lingus.
        I used American Airlines website

        Multi city

        Dublin to Miami
        Cancun to dublin

        I then bought a separate internal AA flight in the middle for £100ish

    A question on through checking bags. If I want to drop the last leg LHR to DUB what are my options, I’ve multi citied before and done the last leg EX LGW. There’s AL flights from T2 but I assume they’d interline those bags unless perhaps I make it a much later flight on the same day?

      Same day will always be through-checked. You need the connection to be either overnight (in which case you can ask for them back to take to your hotel…) or from a different airport.

    I had managed to get an April departure from Dublin to SFO outbound on Air France, inbound on KLM for £1100 last month. Extremely decent price – considering LHR-SFO direct was clocking in at £800-900.

    Can I ask how I book the DUB -CUN fares. Seeing J class availability on ITA and Google flights around £1200 but when I try to book on BA.com it goes up massively.

    OT: evening all

    I have a very tight connection (1hr) between JFK – LHR and LHR to DUB, (booked together via BA)

    Not really sure how this will work as we will have luggage – silly question but will we need to collect the luggage or will it simply be sent on to the next flight

    I didn’t realise the connection was so tight when booking 🙄

    Does anyone have any experience of this?
