Get 4,500 bonus points if you (or your partner?) are a new Hilton Honors member

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Hilton Honors has rolled over its offer of up to 4,500 bonus points if you sign up as a new member.

As you can see from this page (click on the tile halfway down marked ‘Join Hilton Honors’), new Hilton Honors members will receive:

  • 1,500 bonus points after your first stay within 6 months
  • 3,000 bonus points after your second stay within 6 months
Get 4,500 bonus points as a new Hilton Honors member

This is on top of your standard points plus any points for the regular Hilton Honors bonus promotions.

As a regular Head for Points reader you are probably already a member of Hilton Honors.   However, you could potentially sign up your partner and use that account for your next two stays.

Do not do this if you have Hilton Honors status, however, as it would mean the loss of elite status benefits and the loss of your status bonus.

Hilton Honors points can be transferred for FREE to any other member via the transfer page of hilton.com here.  You do not need to have the same address.  This means that your partner could move the points over to you after the stay.  My wife does this after any work-related Hilton stays she does, as my status is higher than hers and it makes sense than any redemptions we do are booked from my account.

The sign-up bonus offer now runs until 31st December 2023.  There does not appear to be a special sign-up link so it seems to apply to all new members.  Full details are on hilton.com here when you scroll down.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (October 2024)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

You can apply for either card here.
