Hilton Honors has just launched its new Spring and Summer promotion, Resort To More Pointswhich is now open for registration – click here.

To give Hilton credit, it is very straightforward with minimal small print:

  • you will earn 2,000 bonus Hilton Honors points for every stay between 1st May and 5th September
  • the bonus is doubled to 4,000 bonus points per stay at selected resort properties
  • that’s it!

There is no cap to what you can earn and there are no minimum stay requirements.  The bonus will trigger on reward stays too.

What is your return here?

Given that I value a Hilton Honors point at around 0.33p, you are getting a good return on your spending here.

For someone who only does one night stays, you would be earning 2,000 bonus points per nightI would value that at £6.66 which is a decent result especially as it doesn’t include your base points or any status bonus.

Of course, if your only Hilton stays during the four months are five nights long, you are not doing too well.  Your bonus will average 400 points per night (2,000/5) which I’d value at £1.33 per night.

I think part of the reason for offering 4,000 points at resort properties is to make the offer slighly more palatable for doing longer stays. A list of which hotels count as ‘resorts’ for this offer is on the registration site.

Hilton Spring Summer 2023 promotion

There is no small print

There is no small print except that you need to register in advance via the Hilton website:

  • there is no minimum stay requirement
  • existing bookings still count
  • all Hilton Family properties (Hilton, Hampton, Curio, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad etc) are taking part

2,000 bonus points per stay is a decent offer for someone who tends to do short stays.

If your hotel stays are generally just for one or two nights at lower cost brands then you may want to consider moving them to Hilton over the next few months.

Make sure you register here if you have any Hilton stays coming up over the next four months.

Even if you don’t have any stays planned, it is still worth registering just in case – a lot can happen between now and 5th September.

Marriott double nights promo finishes saturday. Any news on whats next for them? Managed to retain platinum with 51 nights so far this year thanks to that.

Agree totally on the Hilton v IHG value especially on reward nights. Just spend 3 weeks in USA and Hilton reward stays are not far off double what IHG charge, and there are more and better promos on IHG, like the recent 15% off reward stays.

Hilton have really taken their eye off the ball
