There is nothing like simplicity when designing a loyalty scheme, and the free breakfast benefit for Titanium Elite or Platnium Elite members of Marriott Bonvoy is nothing like simple.

I put together a guide to what breakfast benefits you will get at each of the Marriott Bonvoy brands if you have Platinum or Titanium status.

The information for the table below is taken from the scheme Terms & Conditions which can be found here

St Regis Mardavall breakfast buffet meats

Even if you don’t have Platinum status or higher in Marriott Bonvoy, it is worth looking at the table below to marvel at the complexity of what Marriott has created.

Above is a picture of the breakfast buffet from Rhys’s review of The St Regis Mardavall in Mallorca, which would be free to Platinum Elite members and above.

Quite shocking that you get no free breakfast at Ritz Carlton hotels! (Can maybe excuse Edition and Design hotels, but this would seriously put me off booking a Ritz Carlton as a Titanium member).

    • meta says:

Some do bend rules for Platinum and above. Ritz Carlton Kyoto is one of them. Other have special rates for elites. $15-20 instead of $40+.

  • Sunguy says:

A while ago, I used to live in the apartments that make up the entrance to the Excel centre and practically lived next door to the Crown Plaza. This was before the Olympics and before the hanging baskets decided to make their arrival/departure location there.

They used to do a discount card for “locals” – my wife and I used to enjoy going for breakfast on a Saturday and/or Sunday – paying £18 total for a pretty decent breakfast.

Skip forward to 2014, had flown in to LCY decided to stop by, find out they stopped doing the discount card since just before the olympics, no discounts offered, £40 for 2 and it was absolutely awful…..that much so, that they wiped the charge and no, we didnt go at the end of service! So who knows what its like now – Im hoping better, but suspecting worse!

  • Paul says:

The Moxy Koln airport gives free bfast to all guests (it’s a small buffet) is this just a location specific thing?

  • Wenby says:

Appreciate the guide, the reality is quite different as many hotels, probably more so franchise ones will make up their own rules and leave you ‘bonvoyed’

  • Froggitt says:

“AC Hotels – nothing, but you can take a $10 food and beverage credit per person per NIGHT as your welcome amenity, so $20 for a couple”

Me “Yes I know she’s not here at checkin, but she is arriving later. Does that mean I get $20 per night for the room?”

  • Will says:

W Verbier gives a free breakfast to all guests too as an anomaly.

  • Phillip says:

The Moxy Athens offers breakfast for Platinum and over members!
