  • Michelle Merry says:

Double tier points are only available if your holiday originates in the UK. Very unfair to the rest of the world who hold BAEC status.

    • BA Flyer IHG Stayer says:

They are also available in the US.

Also plenty of ways around the restriction if people are prepared to put in some work and a couple of additional separate flights to get you to/from the UK.

    • Paul says:

They are available from the U.K. where a club world ticket is generally about twice the price of a club world ticket when departing from the many cities in the EU. £10,000 of spend gets £300 off but for that £300 saving I could almost certainly find the same trip for 4 from an EU point of origin.
Earlier this year my wife travelled to Hawaii on business and her company paid £4,300! I went to BUD and paid £1,800.
Double tier points are not all they are cracked up to be

    • Matt B says:

But it is called BRITISH Airways I’m equally sure that AMERICAN Airlines probably looks after its own market first before worrying about is…..its equally unfair that US credit cards have such high sign-up bonuses (I know its due to the the interchange fee!) – c’est le vie.

      • daveinitalia says:

AMERICANs can also get the double tier points on BA. The rest of the world not!

  • Whatserface says:

I’ve got a couple of long haul flights already booked with BA, could I add on hotels to qualify or would it require complete cancellation and booking as holiday? T&Cs aren’t clear.

On each holiday I’m traveling to multiple cities (flying in/out of the same airport), is this also possible with Holidays? I have never used this package from BA before.

  • Gordon says:

BA have had similar sales of this type before. I’ve noted prices of various items throughout the year IE TV’s etc and re checked the Black Friday deals, they are not the bargains some people think they are!

  • Adam says:

I also got an email about 40% off avios flights from LCY

    • MQ says:

“up to 40% off”. I checked the flights to RTM they were the same price.

      • Kev I says:

Flights are the same price cash it’s avios flights that are 40% off from LCY 13,000 odd return to RTM rather than 18,500.

  • BA Flyer IHG Stayer says:

People need to remember that the above discounts are in addition to the savings built into a BA Hol over the costs of separate flights and hotels which can be considerable.

  • BagkokJoe says:

Sorry OT – is BA estire still best method for accural when booking Hilton to maintain benefits?
