Good value Valentine’s Day treat for 30,000 Marriott Bonvoy points – in Vienna

You may remember that I reviewed The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Vienna last month – see here.
One of the features I wrote about was the rooftop bar. Just before I arrived, it had been transformed into the annual Urban Aprѐs-Ski area.
Five real ski gondulas from Salzburg were transported up to the hotel roof and made bookable for raclette evenings, in groups of up to six.
For Valentine’s Day, however, you can book them for a special treat using Marriott Bonvoy points.
Take a look at the Marriott Bonvoy site here.
As it says:
Indulge your Valentine with a truly memorable and romantic escapade at The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna [on 14th February]. The evening commences with a Champagne apéritif and oysters inside a heated gondola at our Atmosphere Rooftop Bar, featuring breathtaking views of Austria’s capital city. Then savour a delectable four-course dinner at our acclaimed farm-to-table Dstrikt Steakhouse.
Experience includes:
Champagne apéritif and oysters at Atmosphere Rooftop Bar inside a heated rooftop ski gondola imported from SalzburgerLand
Four-course dinner at Dstrikt Steakhouse
Experience is for two people.
The price is 30,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for the two of you. HfP would value 30,000 Marriott points at just £150 so you are getting a great deal here. You do need to get to Vienna of course!
There are five packages available at the time of writing. You can book here.
You’ll need somewhere to stay of course. My review of The Ritz-Carlton Vienna is here (you can book here) which includes some more pictures of the roof terrace, and my review of the nearby Hotel Imperial Vienna is here (book here). Both are Marriott hotels.
