Can I earn Avios and British Airways tier points if I fly with LATAM?

In this article we’ll look at how you can earn Avios and British Airways tier points by flying with LATAM.

It is no longer possible to earn British Airways tier points on LATAM. This is because LATAM has left the oneworld airline alliance.

However, you can still earn Avios on LATAM flights. You can Avios with flights on the following LATAM airlines: LATAM Chile (LA), LATAM Colombia (4C), LATAM Ecuador (XL), LATAM Peru (LP) and LATAM Brasil Airlines (JJ).

When you book or manage your flights with LATAM, you will be able to add your British Airways Executive Club number. Upon completion of your flights you will automatically be credited the correct Avios.

How many Avios do you earn flying with LATAM?

Here is the full chart of earning rates, sourced from the partner page of the British Airways website. 

• Economy lowest – 25% of miles flown
• Economy low – 50% of miles flown
• Economy flexible – 100% of miles flown
• Premium Economy low – 100% of miles flown
• Premium Economy flexible – 110% of miles flown
• Business – 125% of miles flown

You will NOT get a British Airways Executive Club status bonus when you fly with LATAM.

You can no longer earn British Airways tier points on LATAM flights now that it has left the oneworld alliance.

How to earn Avios from UK credit cards (March 2025)
