There are still some good offers around in the SWISS and Lufthansa 2-4-1 sale, even though the most high profile cities were snapped up on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Luxury Flight Club has just highlighted another excellent deal – to Nairobi.

What is key about this deal is that availability is decent from October to May.

Nairobi cheap flights

You must book for 2+ people. Flights are on Lufthansa.

(Feel free to play around with UK, Ireland or other convenient starting points – you’ll pay more but offsetting the cost of getting to/from Oslo may mean the overall cost is similar.)

  • Bervios says:

This is one of the fares I mentioned on the main thread. Kenya airlines have a non stop to Seychelles so may be a cheap way of getting there (esp if you have virgin miles) , £ prices not bad either. Also Zanzibar quite close

    • Aston100 says:

“Kenya airlines have a non stop to Seychelles so may be a cheap way of getting there”

UK > Oslo (overnight stay) > Germany > Nairobi > Seychelles

That’s your suggestion is it? Or did I misunderstand?

      • Bervios says:

Depends how adventurous you are !

If I booked it I’d spend a day in Oslo before, a few days at a safari camp in Kenya then head over to the Seychelles – wonderful value for money. Of course if you are old and crabbit it wouldn’t appeal.

    • Barry cutters says:

So you think it’s really worth doing 4 flights and 2 full days of travelling just to spend 1 leg in a lie flat business class ?
It’s also going to cost at least £1k by the time you got to Oslo , stayed a night , booked the final flights .

Surely economy class is a better option at this point for a similar price

      • TGLoyalty says:

It’s about having a multi city holiday not just getting to the Seychelles

  • Bervios says:

Though not part of this deal , there is also a reasonable solo business fare Oslo-Chiang Mai J fare available from late December onwards to July for £1249 (2 week stay)

  • Occasional Ranter says:

Not sure I’m up for what is effectively 2 positioning short haul flights in order to experience Lufthansa’s underwhelming long haul business class, I would literally rather fly economy direct on BA for the same money 😮

  • Occasional Ranter says:

I live in Devon. Bristol is useless, Heathrow is closer than anywhere with flights to Oslo…

  • Craig says:

Not worth it to fly their crappy “business class”

  • John says:

People complaining about their business class being crappy but these fares are what you often see for economy which is certainly more crappy than a flat bed and free flow champagne for 10+ hours! Managed to get flights from London to Seoul for under £1200pp Lufthansa going Swiss returning which is a bargain

    • Danny says:

Doubt it’ll be that free-flowing. After a few glasses you’ll get a matronly stare and told you’ve had enough 😂

      • Mark says:

Besides getting wasted on a flight for 10 hours non-stop is not really my idea of fun, and certainly wouldn’t be by the time I got to the other end….

        • John says:

Well you don’t have to get wasted but it’s still much better than being crammed in economy like sardines for around the same fare which is the alternative! Some people need to learn to appreciate an amazing deal, can’t compare these sub 1k business class fares to the likes of Qatar and Singapore charging 4-5 times that.

          • Danny says:

But your ‘deal’ was £1200, not sub 1k. I’d just rather spend more and travel in a better seat.

          • Mark says:

Don’t get me wrong. Having gone for the Lufthansa offer in the past (albeit starting from Heathrow which is our local airport) it can be very good value – we paid under £1K return to Hong Kong.

I think we’re saying that the attraction of UK – Oslo – Germany – Nairobi – Seychelles and the same in reverse is niche. My wife and I were discussing it yesterday – we thought fine if you have plenty of time and it’s an itinerary that interests you. If you have 10 days – 2 weeks and your aim is a relaxing break in the Seychelles, not so much – and we haven’t travelled long haul economy since 2010.

      • John says:

The Dubai fares were £700pp which is sub £1k no? Why are you being pedantic about that when the point still stands this is a fraction of what other business class options cost and similar to economy fares I found on these routes. You can only work out the value of something relative to the price. Of course we’d all rather fly emirates first class all the time. But fares that are 4x more expensive are not comparable to these deal prices. And if you’re whinging about getting a flat bed for peanuts then you need to get back to the real world.

  • HampshireHog says:

Bit of Schlepp from Nairobi to Dubai tho..

    • Aston100 says:

      Underrated comment

    • Cats are best says:

Last time I went through NBO there was a mandatory health check with a detailed questionnaire (fill it in, throw it on the pile, no one looked at it, that was the check done), followed by at least three separate hand baggage x-ray checks to go through, this was all airside on an international inbound/outbound connection.

Put me off ever connecting there again.

The time before, I’m pretty sure the lounge was where I picked up norovirus, foolishly sampling the tired buffet while waiting for a many hours delayed KQ flight.

With mpox in DRC among other places, wouldn’t surprise me if the health check is back, make sure you have a pen handy if you’re on a short connection!

      • zapato1060 says:

So wait, your shocked you got a virus from travelling in close proximity to thousands of people?

        • Cats are best says:

Where did I say or imply any degree of shock?

I’m not even shocked at your poor grammar.

  • Bernard says:

Seems there’s no satisfying some punters.
Rather jolly price and still they whinge: instead just pay more to set in a middle seat in economy for 9 hours overnight on BA and earning 19 avios or similar

    • John says:

If you’re willing to pay more you never need to sit in a middle seat

    • Throwawayname says:

Lufthansa short haul business class is pretty bad, but 8 hours in economy is just not a pleasant experience. This is an amazing deal, no two ways about it. Nairobi also is more interesting and much safer than many people think (it’s one of those places which has a bad reputation due to past issues which are no longer relevant).
