No1 Lounges is coming to Heathrow Terminal 2 in December

There’s good news for anyone looking for an independent lounge in Heathrow Terminal 2.

No1 Lounges will be opening a site in December, if all goes to plan.

This will provide competition for the award-winning Plaza Premium lounge. This has been very busy in recent months as multiple airline lounges (Singapore Airlines, Aer Lingus and currently Lufthansa) have been undergoing refurbishments.

I knew this was coming so it’s good to finally be able to write about it. No1 has some other interesting developments coming up elsewhere at Heathrow in 2025 ….

We know very little about the Terminal 2 space. No1 has told us that it will be in the main building (2A) and, like Plaza Premium, will unfortunately be windowless.

It will have just 90 seats so it won’t be huge.

It is confirmed that Priority Pass will be accepted, although that’s not a surprise given that Collinson, the company which owns Priority Pass, owns half of No1 Lounges.

There isn’t much to show you so far. The image at the top is the only useful CGI shot shared with us. We also have this photo posted on social media this week by the No1 Lounges CEO.

Apparently you are getting “a modern and elegant aesthetic” but that can mean anything!

The lounge is not yet available via the No1 Lounges website.

When it is, holders of The Platinum Card from American Express should be able to reserve a slot in advance using the four free lounge reservations currently included with their 2024 card benefits – click here to read more about those.

As per photo, is wearing glasses going to be mandatory for entry into this lounge?

As good a way as any to decide which Priority Pass holders do and don’t get in.

I have a promo email from No 1 Lounges giving extra info, if that would be of any interest?? xxxxx

  • YH says:

I’m pretty sure the first image of the lounge in the article is the Luton No1 lounge, it looks exactly the same.

    • Rob says:

Could be. They sent us 5 pictures. 4 were of smiling people with no visible background. This was the fifth, so we had to use it.

  • Chabuddy Geezy says:

I wonder where Rob is alluding to for Heathrow development for No1. Plaza’s old space in T4, something in T5?

  • flyforfun says:

No 1 vs Aspire vs Plaza Premium – which brand is better or does it depend on the actual location? Plaza Premium Hong Kong is great. LHR T5 its a bit Meh.

I have a choice of No1 or Aspire at xmas at T3. Did No1 last xmas and it was fine. Aspire is saying pre-book only (and to be fair, the week before xmas I expect LHR to be rammed) but when did Dragon Pass + go from £18 to £20.50 a visit? I’m sure they sent an email but I don’t recall it! It was last xmas that I needed to use it!

    • TGLoyalty says:

      All depends on actual location.

Personal No1 lounges are generally better than Aspire and some Plaza Premium are better than both. However, T5 PP is awful.

  • Will says:

    Location by gate A18

    • Rob says:

They told us it was down a lift by A17 but I couldn’t mentally picture it!

      • travelersolo says:

I had heard a18 just lifted this from their website
The No1 Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2 is located after security, once you have passed through Duty Free. Adjacent to Gate A18 you should see a set of lifts, take the lift to the lower ground level to access the No1 Lounge

    • john says:

      Aspire is by gate A18

  • brian says:

If the Amex Platinum continues with (and potentially expands) the reservation fee waivers then this will be a nice addition to T2. I’m using that terminal a lot more often since Aer Lingus introduced their redemptions.
