Get 1,000 Etihad Guest miles on every Hyatt stay – which you can turn into cash!

Hyatt has launched another of its occasional airline partner offers.

We’ve seen these with American Airlines, Lufthansa and Etihad in recent years and now Etihad Guest is back for a second go.

World of Hyatt will give you 1,000 Etihad Guest miles for every Hyatt stay you complete, cash or reward, between 15th May and 14th July 2025.

IMPORTANT: This is ON TOP of the World of Hyatt points that you would usually earn. You are not giving anything up and will earn 1,000 Etihad Guest miles as well.

You might think that you will struggle to get any value out of a small number of Etihad Guest miles. The expiry rules are also pretty nasty – you now need to take a cash flight on Etihad or one of its airline partners every 18 months to stop your miles expiring. However, this is not the case.

How to turn Etihad Guest miles into cash

Etihad Guest lets you turn your miles into real money! As we explain in this article, you can convert them into an Etihad Guest Reward Card. This creates a virtual Visa card on your phone:

You can transfer your Etihad Guest miles to the card to create a cash balance which can be spent via online shopping.

You receive roughly 0.5p per Etihad Guest mile which is pretty good for a clean ‘cash out’. This means that every Hyatt stay you do during the promotional period will get you £5 to spend on anything you like.

How to register for the Etihad Guest / World of Hyatt offer

The offer is valid on cash or reward stays.

All Hyatt properties in Europe, Africa and the Middle East are taking part, including (it appears) Mr & Mrs Smith properties booked via Hyatt. Existing bookings count.

If you currently earn Etihad Guest miles at Hyatt instead of taking World of Hyatt points, you can also take part. You will receive the usual 500 Etihad Guest miles per stay, in lieu of points, plus the bonus 1,000 miles on top.

What you CAN’T do is earn 500 miles with a different airline, instead of earning World of Hyatt points, and then receive 1,000 Etihad Guest miles on top!
