WorldHotels launches 10,000 points offer to stack with £100 American Express cashback
Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission. See here for all partner links.
Last month we covered an offer that American Express has launched with the WorldHotels consortium.
If you haven’t heard of WorldHotels, it is a marketing group – rather like Preferred Hotels or Leading Hotels of the World – which lets hotels remain fully independent but share a common marketing platform.
Assuming that your American Express card is targetted and that you register, you will receive 30% cashback, up to £100, when you stay at a participating WorldHotels property.

The offer ends on 15th October.
There are participating hotels across Europe and elsewhere (even Peru!) but the UK ones are:
London
- Courthouse Hotel (Shoreditch)
- Courthouse Hotel (Great Marlborough Street)
- Royal Garden Hotel (Kensington High Street, image above)
- The Crown (Cricklewood Broadway)
- The Washington Mayfair Hotel (Curzon Street)
Outside London
- Ambleside Salutation, Ambleside / Lake District
- Bruntsfield Hotel, Edinburgh
- Ten Hill Place, Edinburgh
- Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness
- Ness Walk Hotel, Inverness
- Gleddoch Golf & Spa Resort, Langbank
- The Velvet Hotel, Manchester
- Woughton House, Milton Keynes
- The Riverside, Salisbury
WorldHotels was (is?) a Virgin Flying Club partner. It has disappeared from Virgin’s hotel partners page as you can see here although parent company Best Western Hotels is still there. It is still listed on the WorldHotels list of airline partners. Flying Blue and Miles & More are also likely to be of interest, but there are no Avios airlines.
Earn 10,000 bonus points too
WorldHotels has now launched a bonus points promotion.
As you can see here on their website, WorldHotels is offering 10,000 bonus points if you stay three nights by 1st September.
You can earn the bonus a maximum of two times, for 20,000 bonus points.
This is on top of the usual 10 points per $1 (74p) spent, before taxes. If you have Diamond status in WorldHotels Rewards – and you can status match from any other major hotel programme – this would increase to 13 points per $1.
The most common route of spending WorldHotels Rewards points is by redeeming for Best Western or WorldHotels room nights.
However, there are also a range of digital gift cards. 20,000 WorldHotels Rewards points gets you a £50 gift card for Amazon amongst others. To reach 20,000 points you’d need to spend roughly £750 before taxes over three nights (10,000 base points plus the 10,000 bonus points).
Throw in the Amex cashback, worth a maximum of £100 back on £333 spend – and of course you could split your ‘pay on departure’ bill across multiple Amex cards – and the deal looks even better.
You can learn more about the WorldHotels Rewards bonus points offer on its website here. Registration is required.
