Thursday 5pm is likely to be busy, but 45mins-1hr should be ample time to get through security (you don’t need to take liquids/laptops out anymore).
In addition LCY is in the midst of refurbishment so the hanging out space is pretty uninspiring right now and I would try to minimise that.
