Oops my bad you’re absolutely right!

I am able to come in at c.300k with one “triple” and one “single” boost still with reasonable value as it’s the 300k threshold that seems to spoil things. If I do a double or triple again on the second one, the value is eroded unfortunately.

When done in separate transactions, it would give 305227 Avios for £2574.79, or 0.84p/avios

Transaction 1
Boosted Avios (74,172 x3) = 222,516
10% bonus = 22,252
Total Avios = 244,768
Total charge = £2,047.15

Transaction 2
Boosted Avios (54,962 x1) = 54,962
10% bonus = 5,497
Total Avios = 60,459
Total charge = £527.64

I’m not sure whether to go ahead but will sleep on it, as this would add 300k to our 70k/50k/70k/50k SUBs tally and allow the midnight call centre booking / subsequent refund drama where I may not have had enough beforehand to use this method for a family of four limited to school holidays.
