So I tried to do this upgrade and got a message “we can’t process it now, try again later”. When I called Amex CS, they said the offer is not showing in my account, and so therefore I am not targeted for it. Their hypothesis is that I have close to zero transactions on my gold card (all the spend is going on my hubby’s premium plus card at the moment). They advised to increase spend on card and try in a few weeks. Is this correct? Anyone have any advise on this?
If you have multiple Amex cards, if Gold set as your ‘preferred’ card (with a star next to it) when you log in? If not, it won’t work.
Are you on the correct upgrade page? Charge if you have Gold charge, credit if you have Gold credit?
