ahh thanks JDB – good advice.

The inbound leg from Tokyo is already an “adjustment” to fit the criteria, since I’d rather be returning from HKG, but that will not work.
Of course, it’s a fine balance between utilising the voucher effectively and wasting extra time and money to make it work at all.

Presumably if I conclude that the adjustments are not justifiable I can always use the voucher for one leg only, right? Seems a pity, but it might be the best option.
