There are some lovely apartment complexes in the south of Spain where you can get 1/2/3 bedroom units plus a full kitchen, but also with hotel facilities.

Diamond resorts are good quality – I’m returning to Los Amigos Beach Club (though it’s not actually on a beach, go figure!) in May with my nephew, his partner plus great-nieces (age 6 and 10), as it has fantastic facilities for kids, 2 decent restaurants, a spa and beauty treatments, and 2 separate pool areas, one kid-oriented and one more sedate.

I’ve paid about £1200 for 8 nights in a 3-bedroom apartment, but I booked very early so prices are probably a bit higher now.

If that doesn’t float your boat, there are numerous others nearer the beaches. Also MacDonald resorts are very nice.
