Patience is a virtue her wonders to behold.

Just wait a couple of hours to see if this resolves before running off to AMEX.

A simple log off and on again will likely sort the balance out.

In any case AMEX can do little with a pending transaction. They’ll step in if it becomes a proper charge and you’ve still not got the avios but until then leave them be.
