Got the email below – “ Our friends at Virgin Trains Ticketing are offering customers 1,000 Virgin Points simply for booking your first train ticket with them* – that’s any ticket, on any train, to anywhere in Great Britain.

You’ll then receive a promo code to claim your 1,000 Virgin Points, which you can use to save £5 off your next train ticket, or save up to use on your next reward flight. That’s your next adventure – right on track. Terms apply*.”

    Any super cheap tickets?

Minimum £5 spend, just booked a £5.30 ticket that I needed anyway and received a promo code already. Very easy 1000 points.

Lovely. Missed the T&C on minimum spend, bought the cheapest £1.40 ticket I could find – wasted shot!

Travelling to New York with my partner on 29th December. Just booked the retreat suite which, incidentally goes on sale exactly 14 days before the flight (not midnight the night before!) I’ll be interested to see whether the £300 is worth it on a day flight but at least we’ll have a big TV screen and more space!

Does anyone know if this offer is still active or has the first 5000 been reached. I looked at doing it but it seemed the options were only to get a discount using pts. When chose full price, there was no indication of the 1000 pts?

1000 points is very simple with a code to add to Virgin Red app, worked instantly.

If you want a cheap ticket, a child single on LNER from Waverley to Haymarket is 60p.

You need to spend at least £5 to get the 1000pts.
