How long does the voucher take to reach your accont after the spend has been confirmed in your account
I had mine added almost immediately …
Check your Fly Club account 🙂
When did the spend clear?
All 3 of my vouchers so far seemed to post with the next statement.
You might need to be a bit more patient …
yes i know trying to book a reward flight before it is gone
Is it risky to cancel the card before the voucher appears but after £10k spent? Thinking of cancelling at 11 months before they charge the renewal early at the 11 month statement date. Or is better to spend in 10 months?
Have they moved over to NW yet? I’m just wondering whether this has any bearing on the fact that my renewal date is tomorrow but I haven’t been charged the fee yet!

No, NW has no bearing on this. The acquisition only completed on Tuesday, so although Debbie is fairly super human, I don’t think she’s had a chance to look at the fee on your account yet.
this afternoon
LOL
Does anyone here have the free VA Mastercard and the paid version. Did you encounter any problems taking out the 2nd card when applying?
remember that any charges (inc the £160 fee) don’t count towards the £10k spend.
There is no refund for cancelling early and anecdotal evidence on here is that Virgin will refund the 2nd year fee if you have cleared the card before 12 months and havent spent in the new year. You might have a fight though !I got my early renewal fee refunded – but that was when they had a chat line and I had a written assurance that I wouldnt be charged until after 12 months !
My voucher only appears c2 months after my renewal date, even though I usually achieve the spend after 2-3 months into the card year.
Surely that’s correct then?! Or do you mean 12 months later?
Voucher appears after 12 months, plus 2 months strangely.
Renewal in Feb, we achieve £10k spend usually by April, and vouchers post (and are dated April) the following year after next renewal.
I must be a special case, as this has happened for 5 years at least since getting the +card.
Anyway, will be downgrading the card shortly, as I will still achieve an annual (useless) voucher
Do I understand it correctly that you can’t downgrade your virgin card to the free one, you just need to reapply abd cancel the premium card?
If so, what happens to any vouchers you have, are they lost with the card or are they stored withn flying club or Red ?
