Sorry, newbie question. I have the free card….six months in, I’ve hit the 20k target, thanks to house renovation. Do I have to wait the full 12 months before the upgrade coupon pops up ? On receipt of the voucher I was looking to cancel and go for the Plus card and start the 12 month rolling again, as 10k will be easier to achieve. Thankyou
Once you trigger the voucher you get an option in the app to select that or 7k avios instead. Once you’ve made the choice it should transfer to your BAEC account in a day or so.
If you’ve already made the selection, have you checked your BA account to see if it’s there?
You may also have the option to upgrade your card in the app, I think you need to wait 6 months if you cancel and reapply.
