What’s the best (and cost effective) quick way to get those 85 TP to retain Silver.
Is it worth it? (I have AMEX Platinum too)
If I use Avios to part pay, do I still get the full TP (I could do a biz class return to Malta and use 70k miles…)Take a day off work on Tuesday 28th November and fly to Sofia in economy and back in club Europe. Less than £250 and gets you at least 85 tier points.
Definitely worth it for Silver, good spot by @Froggee! Costs more than that to fly between MAN and LHR most days.

Yes you do. It also earns Avios however I’m not sure if that’s now based on the cash element you actually pay or tge fare before you reduce the cost using Avios.
But you do not get TP or Avios if you buy a reward flight and reduce the number of Avios needed by paying more cash.
