We recently won a case with CEDR for a claim brought against BA for them refusing to re-book a cancelled flight out side the ticket validity dates, I think the fact that they weren’t operating the flights throughout that period help with our case. My question is, what happens next? We’ve asked CEDR but all they’ve said is they’re waiting for our payment details, obviously we’re not expecting a payment, just the right to re-book the flights at a time of our choosing, does anyone have any experience of how to re-book the flights?
Thanks
Well done! You presumably put the monetary value of the new flights on the claim, not just the right to rebook. So BA now needs to pay you that amount. If you haven’t done that, I’d say you’ll need to do it now and send payment details to BA/CEDR.
BA have 20 days to implement the decision.
Not sure if that’s from when they send it to you both or the date you accept it.
Adjudicator can only give you what you asked for so if it seems clear to them you wanted the cash cost of the rebooked flights then that’s what you’ll get.
If you think they made a mistake in that then best contact them to clarify.
