Booked the return leg of trip to South Africa Lhr-jnb at release on Saturday morning at 1am. I live in Manchester so need to add lhr-man, couldn’t do it Saturday morning as they hadn’t been released yet. Can I add the domestic leg now they’ve been released or is it not possible?
Thanks.
Yes, you’ll need to call up, reference exactly as you’ve said you need to add on the domestic flight now they are avialable/ showing
Stupid question:
– I knew that if I bought LHR-MEX (say) with a 241 voucher I could later on book MEX-LHR and then call and apply the voucher retrospectively and get 1/2 of the avios back
– from the answer to this question: can this be done to as many sectors as one wants?
I.e: could I book MAD-MEX (return let’s say) and then later on add a MAD-LHR on the same booking and with the 241?

I see no reason providing the ticket is still in date and valid why you can’t add on that last leg, ETA they might push back if the journey has started and the new leg would have to be on IB else you might get BA stating it’s two carrier mileage..
We’ve been through this with Keillia SP and their SJO trip
Thanks @e14
I always thought adding an inbound to an outbound was ok. Didn’t know modifying a leg was allowed (I remember in the past people asking if they could change their XYZ-MAD to XYZ-MAD-LHR were told they needed to chancel and rebook once seats are back on inventory)

Don’t know whom is saying it would need to be cancelled and rebooked, but that’s one of the joys of the internet.
The easiest way is to book MAD-MEX and then call up and add the MEX-MAD-LHR onto the booking. However BA Exec Club CS should be quite able to add a leg onto an existing booking (oh and of course charge the change fee for something that can’t be done online).
Quite new to all this. I’ve only travelled on Avios and 241 Avios booking LHR to xxx return. I have a 241 (new voucher) booking coming up in October. Does that mean I can ring to ask BA to add additional flight to Inverness from LHR? If I didn’t add domestic, if flight were available could I add on LHR to NYC for example thus ending my journey there?
Thanks.
Update:
Phoned up, cleared security.
Me “I booked the return part of a 241 from jnb to lhr on Saturday when the flight was released…”
Agent “let me guess, you want to add the domestic leg to Manchester now that’s been released”
Me “yes please”
Agent “mo problem”
Done and dusted in 10 minutes and from our conversation I presume it’s a very common request.
