Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Advice for watching for award availability

Advice please: I used to hold a paid seatspy account, but allowed it to lapse last year. It was on a low ‘early adopters’ rate.

I now want to find seats in Upper for two specific Virgin flights to India – VS300 or V354. I could keep checking the reward flight finder, but it isn’t flight specific, and has no alerting feature.

I’ll happily drop a few pounds trying to search and get a quick alert for what I want, any recommendations on a tool? Seats dot Aero and Seat Spy seem to be the choices.

    Seatspy as you say

Seatspy offers telegram and WhatsApp alerts (good)
Seats dot Aero offers specific flight number alerts (good)

Seats dot Aero also do SMS alerts it turns out…

… so I set an alert for the specific date and flight I wanted, alert fired overnight, tickets booked this morning. 🙂

For BA I found it very useful to make friends with one of their CSA I met in Soi 4, a few drinks did the trick 🙂 Sadly, he has now moved on but I’m not flying BA anymore anyway.
