Hotels in Singapore – I see the Conrad has been recommended but it’s the only hotel in Singapore I wouldn’t go back to even though as Diamond we were upgraded to a suite and had club lounge access. It is very beige and really could do with a full refurbishment. (Maybe this has been done in the last 3/4 years) The club lounge was very crowded and offerings were very ordinary.

Marina Bay isn’t really the best area although THe Ritz Carlton Millennia is very nice or was a few years ago when we stayed there – I think the areas around the Fullerton, Raffles and IC are the best. Easy to walk to many sights from the hotels there.

Our favourite hotel over the years has been the IC Middle Rd – the rooms are tasteful and comparing the Club lounge here and at the Conrad is like chalk and cheese.

Just after Covid when Singapore reopened we were there for 3weeks and hotel hopped to experience different hotels and areas. We stayed at the IC Middle Rd, IC Robertson Quay, The Fullerton and the Four Seasons. Of those I wouldn’t go back to the IC RQ. If the rate at the Fullerton in a Straits Suite River view was affordable I would recommend that.

Conrad has been mostly considered a business hotel, so not surprising. It ticks a lot of other boxes like decent space in rooms, good location, access to mall, MRT etc, it comes down to personal preferences.

Having said that I loved staying at IC Bugis and would go back.
