Yes, things have picked up in the last couple of weeks for me – with multiple PayPals, Apple, multiple Selfridges and Harvey Nics. And the dining credit paid out within 2 days of dining at The Wolseley. So my grumpiness has subsided a little.

Obviously saved it, but have no idea if I’ll find a reasonably priced BA flight to use it on.

    Hi everyone

Can anyone confirm that they have tried this year buying a gift card at Bicester Village info point by the station and that has triggered the offer?

I know it has worked in previous year but I haven’t read any posts of anyone confirming it worked for them this year.

    Appreciate the help!

This is a very dull chat room. Please let’s go back to frequent flyer error fares and frequent flyer special trips/ supercharged redemptions. Much more interesting when Amex offers can simply be viewed on you online account(s)

You are welcome to start new threads under those titles and not be here. The beauty of the forum is you don’t have to read anything that sounds dull.

I don’t always have time to scroll through 12 amex cards worth of offers every day to look for new ones. So massively appreciate this thread. Also helpful to get intel on how an offer may apply, what is not working etc.

Datapoint – Hyatt statement credit offer used on 29th Aug (hotel checkout on 29th), credited on 31st with date of 30th. The delays in paypal offer seems to be a technical issue rather than a blanket delay for all offers.

This is a great offer that reduces an NYC trip massively, but ideally I would have liked to start from DUB (for obvious reasons). However the offer says UK-originating trips only. Has anyone ever managed to get the credit posted for non-UK originating flights?

They can easily enforce that rule as non-UK departing flights will be charged in other currencies.

I did wonder about that, but I just got a quote from united.com from DUB in sterling, so the only way they could work it out is by dissecting the trip details that are always carried through to the credit card provider. Was wondering if anyone had any past successes which would give me confidence to give it a go…

Give it a try. You might have discovered an easement where Dublin departures are priced in Sterling to accommodate NI residents.

I had a credit posted for a non-U.K. departing flight when they ran the offer during the summer. The United page I booked on was also in sterling. Credit posted within a week or two I think.

Does anyone know: I have this offer saved, if my wife has it saved on her supplementary card can we use this offer twice? The T&Cs state one credit per “Card”, does that normally mean per physical card or per card account?

(Sorry if this is common knowledge, either way..!)

Offers are per card, not account – supplementary cards get their own offers. You have to charge to each card separately to maximise the offers.

I have an offer for a merchant called 7 FOR ALL MANKIND. Never heard of them and unlikely to buy anything.
The offer of 20% back has been showing for a while but as of yesterday it’s showing the same offer TWICE!
In the past when I had an offer twice (can’t remember the shop), I did indeed get both offers on a single transaction. So we could potentially be looking at 40% off

Got excited for Mrs JJ who has some of their jeans and wears them very well. Unfortunately, I think one offer is online and the other in-store.
