Spend £300 get £100 back Maybourne group (claridges etc) by 10 September. As per standard terms gift cards apparently excluded, has anyone had any previous experience of purchasing a gift card and getting the offer to trigger?
Online they are via a 3rd party site so will not work. Never asked if they sell them in the actual hotels.

On platinum card I have two Harvey Nichols offers. Spend £200 get £20 back and spend £250 get £50 back.
Anyone know if this would work together with the other £50 x2 HN platinum offer? T&C on today’s offers dont mention anything about doubling up.

The offers would all stack – so if you spend £250 you would get £120 back.
The £10 off £50 at various outlets in Covent Garden is back. Previously used for Nandos gift cards but they seem to have dropped off the list this time.

Is this accumulative? Can I make purchases across different stores and add up to £50 to get the £10 off?

On my platinum card: a £100 statement credit when you make one or more transactions up to £300+ online at American Express Travel Online by 23/10/2023
Apologies if this has been posted before / not relevant. First 10k cardmembers.
I have an offer for spend £300 at Enterprise rent a car, get £80 back, on my Platinum card. The T&Cs say it’s only for UK domestic rentals. Does anyone have any experience of whether the offer will work anyway if I book a pre-paid foreign rental in GBP via the UK site?

Does anyone know if the HN credit is cumulative. I can see nothing in the terms.

The Platinum £50 is – you get 100% back each time up to £50 in total, so spend £10 you’ll get £10 back, few months later spend £80, you’ll get the remaining £40. The other offers are not cumulative.
Got a “Spend GBP 300 or more, get GBP 100 back” on my AMEX Plat, but one of the T&Cs states “Offer only valid on prepaid hotel and car hire booked online at travel.amex.co.uk”
Is this really only limited to prepaid hotels and car hire? I’m sure that in the past I’ve used similar AMEX travel promos on plane tickets (100 off 400 spend). Is this exclusion new, or has it always been there? Hoping the above would be applicable to BA flights and the T&C are a mistake…

Regarding the Apple offer ‘Save to Card to get a £80 statement credit when you make one or more transactions up to £800+ online at Apple – iPhone by 31/8/2023’
Does this work on non-iphone purchases (ipads, MacBooks etc)?

It has over the past few offers. Also works for buying gift cards, but you have to do it in 1 transaction with 2 x £400 gift cards (as £400 is the maximum Apple allows for as ingle gift card)
Does the Covent Garden £10 off £50 stack with the UK £150 dining offer (at the couple of restaurants that appear on both lists)? Thanks.

bear in mind travel agents make the square root of naff all on commissions for flight only bookings. They can probably get 20% back for hotels. So not only does it reduce the cost, it’s also a far more lucrative line for them to push on repeat bookings. I got money off a flight via Amex travel years back but as you say the terms have been changed. It’s not a risk I’d be willing to take.
It’s amazing that these huge hotel commissions persist as they are hardly in the interests of the consumer/guests, yet of the groups I’m only aware of Four Seasons having capped them under pressure from owners. It appears that the payment of large commissions by individual hotels/owners to agents or their chain marketing groups hasn’t yet me with enough resistance from the payers while suiting the big groups.
25,000 MRs on at £1k spend at IWC on my AMEX Plat. Thought that was worthy of further investigation then found out IWC make watches (which I don’t wear) and the cheapest one they have is £4.5k (which I don’t have in my watch budget this month)….

if I felt more confident Amex would 100% honour these offers, I might’ve been tempted to pick up some watch boxes…
