My 9k from the Hilton offer posted today, very happy with that one!
May I ask if you book UK hotels or in Europe please? Advanced rate online I suppose?

2x separate advanced online payments, both UK bookings only about £110 each so only just scraped the threshold cumulatively. Triggered as soon as the second one went through.
My first Hilton offer (spend £200, get 9,000 MR points) triggered a “You just used your Hilton offer” email but has only posted the regular spend points. Anyone have any data points yet for how long the additional 9,000 points take to post?

Probably a bit like the statement credits, anything from 2 days to 6 months depending on…nothing – just how the Amex computer feels that day.
I notice that the t&c’s for some of the offers now include:
“Some payments made through certain “payment facilitators” will not be eligible and will not count towards your spend for the purposes of the Offer. A payment facilitator is an intermediary that accepts payments on behalf of the seller of the goods/services. Payment facilitators can include some online payment platforms/marketplaces, and entities that provide certain card acceptance products (such as mobile card readers) to sellers of goods/services
Please ask prior to making a purchase as the merchant will be able to tell you if they use a payment facilitator which does not count towards spend for this Offer.”I may have been partly responsible for this as earlier in the year, I had to escalate a complaint with Amex because one online pre-paid booking at marriott.com at a specific hotel was processed correctly and triggered £100 cashback, but a second pre-paid booking made the following day on marriott.com for a different date at the same hotel and using a different Amex card was processed using a payment facilitator. The complaint resolution was to award the missing £100 cashback and (unasked for) compensation.
Nevertheless, I am of the view that the new text constitutes an unfair contract term. The cardholder has no control over how a business processes a payment, and trying to ask a hotel agent whether an online system will use a payment facilitator and expecting them to know is rather silly. (Similarly, the person behind the counter in a shop or a waiter in a restaurant is not going to know.) It’s up to Amex to determine the terms of business that control how retailers must use their services, not pass the onus on to cardholders who have no control over this.
JustPark: Spend £10 or more, get 10% back every time – expiry 04/04/24
Happy to report that I made a pre-paid booking at the AC Malaga Palacio for February and the £100 Marriott/Bonvoy cash back has posted. The actual booking was made a couple of weeks ago but the payment was only processed on the 2nd, and the rebate posted on the 3rd, very efficient! Now going to book another 2 nights which will complete our stay.

For first 5,000 cardmembersP2 got “spend £6k, collect 2k MR points” I assume this offer varies based on spending pattern.
Of course, when she spends the 6k, she’ll actually collect 4.5k MR points because of the “rewards-as-you-go” scheme. The conditions of the offer don’t make it clear if supplementary card spend counts- it says THE card and implies if a replacement card is issued, the offer would need to be saved again- so I think my wife needs to be putting the shopping on her main card instead of me doing it on mine.
I also got spend xxx, get xxx Avios on the free BA card. I’ve forgotten the values, but it was inferior to putting the same spend through the gold card – even before the offer on the gold card.
I got £6k, won’t be happening given that my wife’s BAPP year reset soon.

IHG finally joined the party – spend £300, get £70 by 31/12
Good morning. With the recent offer on BA amex Spend £50 anywhere get £10 back, 3 times – can this be with same retailer all 3 transactions… I’m dangerously close to triggering 2-4-1 voucher which I was delaying until 2024….thanks in advance
@sm, I would assume it’s ok. However, if you’re worried about inadvertently triggering voucher why not go into 3 different shops or sites and buy 3 gift cards for exactly £50 each. Could be used to delay grocery or petrol spend, use as Christmas gifts you could make one-off payments to mobile or energy accounts if they take amex.
