I don’t want to come across as entitled (although I will!) but we haven’t had any new offers for quite a while now and Amex have removed the ‘New’ offer’s tab. Usually we get a good selection just before Christmas but nothing, zilch, naff all.

There’s been so many offers in the run up to Christmas I couldn’t keep up with them all – all the main department stores and hotel chains. Many of them expired just before Christmas or will expire on Sunday though. January will see the travel offers kick off, expect airlines, Amex travel, hotels etc as they try and attract our holiday planning business.

As Andrew says it comes and goes in a kind of a cycle. Probably quieter now as merchants have exhausted the marketing budget and plan new campaigns from Jan.

10% AMEX Dining offer back today… with the usual great AMEX IT keeping pace; the link to venues states “new offer back on 2 Jan”, and the email confirming enrollment notes the end date of 19 Nov 2023.

Is it really that hard to set this up so it all comes into effect at the same time? (*Comment: it’s not!)

But hey, 10% is 10%, so I shouldn’t complain too much (once I can actually see the venues)

Considering it’s the quietest month of the year for restaurants, I’m surprised that 10% was as good as they could come up with.

Any recommendation if it is possible to combine 10% Dining offer with the Platinum dining credit? I checked a few restaurants but was not able to find any eligible for both offers.

@ML11, Hawksmoor in Edinburgh is on both lists and both offers should apply. Might be nowhere near you though!

As is Bread Street Kitchen in Edinburgh. As well as Gaucho, Glasgow in Scotland.

Is it me or are current Amex offers just dreadful atm? Where’s all the hotel offers?

There were a load of hotel offers that ended on 31st December, so I think it’ll be end jan start of feb that the chain offers start popping back on.

I’m having to settle for only 5% back at an ihg stay next week on Lloyds visa card as I’ve used up all the offers elsewhere across all chain and cards.

I have a feeling this year, there will be a lot of hotel offers as hotels try to keep prices high, while struggling for occupancy.

Does someone remember what was the recent Ralf Lauren offer. Will be returning some purchases back and need to ensure to stay above the required spend

The offers on Platinum have been very weak for a while compared to BAPP. But across the board January seems a bit of a dry spell for offers.

It’s a bit quiet on the Amex offers front again – where are all of the Valentines Day hotel deals and getaway offers?
