This is the first significant time gap I’ve had for a long while in not being able to get 10% off train tickets via Amex and LNER.
(I still have 8% on LNER via a Virgin Mastercard for a couple of weeks, and it’s worth forgoing cashback on some Avanti purchases to get a free ticket with Club Avanti.)
I wonder if LNER will reappear in a few days, or whether that’s the end of that one.

Not sure if this option is still available, next time you see the Amex offer, you could top up your account or buy credit and then use it later when there is no offer.

There is still an option to buy eVouchers on LNER. Do they post as qualifying spend then?
LNER state “All eVouchers are valid for 12 months and eVouchers purchased using your Perks credit are valid for LNER Advance tickets purchased on the LNER App.” They do not state how bought eVouchers can be used. Can they be used for flexible tickets and non-LNER trains?
Yes vouchers count for cashback, confirmed on Amex, Halifax & Curve cards. The payment goes through as LNER websales exactly the same as a ticket purchase.
Vouchers bought for cash (well OK by card) can be used for any train ticket via the LNER website or app, it’s only vouchers purchased using Perks credit which are restricted.
The LNER 5% cashback is back on both my plat and BAPP today, valid until 08/08/25
Get a £7.99 statement credit when you make a single, eligible transaction of £7.99+ online at Reward Flight Finder by 30/9/2025. Valid every time up to 3 times for the first 30,000 Cardmembers to save

Thanks!
Happily, I too have LNER at 10% back across most of my Amex cards today. Wish I’d locked in some eVouchers when I had 12%!
Anyone got a Radisson offer on any of their cards? I noticed for the first time it’s the only hotel cashback offer I haven’t seen in a while.
United spend £700 get back £300 exp 8/8/25
Intepid get 8% back up to £150 exp1/8/25
both on my plat.
LNER available at 10% for me, same expiry date.
Unfortunately lner doesn’t do (but aviva does) boundary zone tickets, which can save few pounds if have a monthly/annual travelcard and travelling in London.
