Hi all
does anybody know whether a gift card can be purchased for dining credit abroad? In particular Rome or Naples? Would hate to lose £150!
But I would take any feedback on online purchase anywhere in the world. You never know. Say Japan for example?
Thank you
Nip off for lunch! Just blown €263 across two cards in Mun in Paris for lunch and now sitting in the Eurostar lounge 🙂

Amazing. Will look into that! Thank you :)))
Corral de la Morería in Madrid works when making payment over the phone.

Rob, you tried your wife’s upgraded platinum card on a UK dining credit restaurant when you used it earlier in the year? I’m due to use it for lunch tomorrow and interested if it will work or not…

That’s the proper, stylish way to do it.
I’m off later this month to Hamburg, effectively, just to use the dining credit. The cost ‘justification’ to myself is that I’m going with a couple of friends, so I only have to pay for my own flight and share of apartment cost (rather than pay for all 3 of us, if I went with my wife and daughter).

I wish I could, but I’m booked up until the end of the year. 🙂

Well, quite! Son and I in CDG coming back from lunch at La Grande Brasserie!
On the downside, the HfP 2023 article on “the Extime 2B lounge is great and will be
used by BA for some time” needs updating to “2C is like a total ghost town, and the
Prime Class (ahem…) lounge has stale sandwiches and a bottle of supermarket red”!!Rob, you tried your wife’s upgraded platinum card on a UK dining credit restaurant when you used it earlier in the year? I’m due to use it for lunch tomorrow and interested if it will work or not…
My wife’s upgraded Plat was never originally a Plat (ie it is not a downgrade from a Plat which was reupgraded) so no reason why it won’t work. Offer appeared after 4-5 days and I registered it.
Still waiting for HN to appear on the upgraded card, will chase tomorrow.
Not used the £150 UK credit on her upgraded Plat yet but still got 14 days of course.

After waiting two weeks for it to appear, and in spite of having received an email inviting me to sign up for the offer, it was nowehere to be seen. Called up and got it manually added. Already spent it too!
Got my wife’s HN added via online chat today. First attempt was blown when they asked for her mother’s date of birth as a security question 🙂
@Rob funnily enough this triggered me to check wife’s account as she recently got referred to platinum. Got the uk and abroad dining but not the HN offer. Asked the chat. They’ve now added it as saved to the card. BUT clearly states expires 30 June 2025.this says to me there is no ADDITIONAL HN credit. Just an extension if you didn’t use your credit is second half of 2024. Pretty poor given Amex were championing it that it was containing for at least first half of 2025

You get HN credit until 31st Dec and then again from 1st. I think it’s pretty clear. They’ve removed it but they’ve added extra dining credit. Amex giveth, Amex taketh I guess?
