The hotel I’m looking at is giving $200 credit to spend at the hotel. Will I get that even for one night’s stay? If I then move to another city about an hour away and again book a hotel with Fine Hotels, will I get the $100 credit to spend at that new hotel? My query is about if it’s a one off credit or if its valid for every new booking at a different hotel.
It’s for every stay. U could bounce between hotels for 1 night each in the same town and use the $100 credit each day. Some hotels with extra credit have a minimum number of nights or it’s for certain room types – it should be clear when u login and go through the booking process.

Thanks. Not quote the answer but great info on the min number of nights…..didnt know that.
I was asking if I book night one and check out. Can supp book night 2 and check in under her name?

Thanks for the reply. Very useful.
@Royback I’ve not seen any real examples of this and I personally wouldn’t do it. Both guest names are recorded at check in so they should know its 1 stay. U can try but the hotel may well brush over your attempt to double dip and I doubt Amex will provide any support to your claim. Its against the spirit of the offer. Much better off moving hotels than looking like a <insert word> at the check in desk.
For clarity ….
The Amex FHR $100 F&B credit has NO minimum nights requirement. One night stays are always OK.
You might see some hotels with an extra offer if you stay a certain number of nights but the $100 is baked in on any stay.
It’s the Hotel Collection properties that have a minimum two night requirement. These tend to be a bit cheaper than FHR but not always.
While the vast majority of FHR hotels offer a dollar amount credit, some offer a specific meal and some only offer spa credit.
My wife stayed in an FHR hotel last year where the restaurant was closed for refurbishment, so she had to bring back the contents of the minibar.

Yes it is possible. if you are going to do it make sure you check out of the first night and then check in again with new booking. Dont ask to merge the two bookings to make it easy. Worst case scenario you dont get it. no other consequence.
@Wiseoldman – quite apart from the honesty or inconvenience of what you propose people should do, it’s also completely duff advice.
“Back-to-back stays booked by a single Card Member, Card Members staying in the same room or Card Members traveling in the same party within a 24-hour period at the same property are considered one stay and are ineligible for additional FHR benefits (“Prohibited Action”). American Express and the Property reserve the right to modify or revoke FHR benefits at any time without notice if we or they determine, in our or their sole discretion, that you may have engaged in a Prohibited Action, or have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with your FHR benefits.”
So much “tightening up” by Amex being highlighted on this site just now, yet people keep coming up with ways to tempt Amex to “reconsider” their relationships with cardholders!

Thank you. This seems to answer. I will move hotels! Happy to play the game but not break the rules
Las Vegas is a fantastic location to hotel hop and take advantage of FHR benefits. If staying midweek the F&B credit offsets a large portion of the room rate
In a similar theme – does the FHR $100 benefit per booking or per room? Might end up booking 2 rooms in the near future so wondered if it’s worth having separate booking under main and supplementary accounts. We’ll both in the travelling party so I don’t think that should be a problem.

That issue is covered in the above quote from the T&Cs – one benefit per booking/party.
Last year I did this at a Kempinski. I had two cards with 200 FHR rebate so booked one night on each card.
Front desk team merged both bookings when I checked in and (unprompted) offered credit for both nights. This is obviously against the policy but I wasn’t complaining.
Note if you have dished out your Plat supp card, that person can make an FHR booking (whilst logged in at Amex Travel) and it won’t be seen as ‘joined’ with the booking you made. If you need two rooms for one night I would do this – we’ve done it before, but note that in our case the booker was in their nominated room because I shared with my son and my wife shared with my daughter. Not sure the hotel even knew we were together.
Has anyone tried back to back booking with Virtuoso followed by Amex. Thus getting two lots of credit and guaranteed late check out?
I’ve booked back to back nights via different booking agents and simply asked the hotel to ensure I stay in the same room, and it’s been fine.
