I am a new forum member seeking to learn about Avios. I started collecting Avios fairly recently and now have enough to claim a flight. I’ve been looking for a way to get alerts about reward flights as it is a pain having to check on BA’s website daily. Is it right that I can only set alerts on a daily basis rather than for specific flights? I need a particular flight for a flight connection. Am I missing something here? I looked on Seatspy because you mention them here but they don’t show specific flights.
seats.aero would allow you to create an alert for a specific flight number as well as date. This is a pro (paid for) feature.
RewardFlightFinder now allow you to set alerts for specific flights (although you may need the more expensive tier of membership ).
Which flight is it? SeatSpy doesn’t feature all airlines so won’t notify you about, for example, Iberia or Aer Lingus. Also be aware it can be several hours before you get the notification so you risk someone else getting the seats before you do.
Hi there GreenCapTraveller. I’m Kayleigh Hepworth, from Reward Flight Finder. You can indeed use our service to search and set alerts for specific flights with BA to book reward seats. With a Gold membership, priced at £7.99 a month or £79.99 a year, you can you can search and set alerts for specific airports, filter for specific flight times when searching or creating alerts, set and receive alerts whenever an additional flight becomes available, set up your searches and alerts to only watch specific flight numbers, or set an Alert to watch a specific flight on a specific day. If you have a particular flight you need to be on we can certainly help with that. Head to our website to take a look. And because you’ve never had an account with us you’ll also get a free 7 day trial. I hope this helps?
This is something you can (and should) do for free with the Avios app if it’s a BA flight. You shouldn’t pay for this.

Hi Kayleigh, remember when you guys were scraping data from seat spy?
Not everyone has forgotten that.

Avios app is useful, but I’m not sure it allows you to set alerts for specific flights. Only for specific days I think?

I certainly haven’t forgotten and will never use RFF again as a result. They were publicly caught with their pants round their ankles.

If you set an alert for a day, if the flight you need on that day has a seat you’ll get alerted. No?
So a first-time poster turns up seeking a service, and miraculously a rep from a (discredited) company who provide such a service turns up, also with their first post, to advertise their service. Coincidence? Hmmm….

Not suspicious at all is it LOL?

Hey guys. I have posted on here previously, but when I tried to log in to the forum last week I got a notification saying HfP didn’t recognise my email…I can assure you, there’s nothing weird going on. I like to look on the different forums for chats relating to reward seat books to contribute. I’m an Avios collector myself, I like tips!
Avios app is good, I used it for my last Easter trip recently. You may need to set it up for multiple days. I found it reliable enough.
