I remember when Qatar started using Avios, Rob mentioned in the article that redeeming Qatar flight on BAEC should be the same compared to redeeming on Qatar directly.
However I have been looking to redeem a biz class from MAN-ICN and it cost 80k avios on Qatar’s system vs 103k avios on BAEC.
Should there actually be an Avios difference between both systems or am I missing a trick somewhere?
I think the only advantage for BA is the possibility of using a 241 voucher. That reduces the BA price per person if travelling as two

Unfortunately not, the 241 voucher is for BA flights only.

They are trying to book a Qatar Airways flight. It seems they are just asking if they should book via BA or Qatar. In either case it will not be possible to use the 241 for voucher as they are not booking a BA flight.
