Looking to book a Flight / Hotel package.
Best value for this trip is pay PE cash fare and upgrade using Avios.
Wondering if this is possible with BA hols or is this only available for flight only bookings?
It takes a bit of messing around, but yes you can do it although the upgrade may cost slightly more than you expect. You can book the BA Holiday online as PE, then call to do the upgrade. Depending on the agent, the direction of the wind or whatever, they may or may not charge a change fee.
Not sure if it’s possible to do it as a single transaction if you book the holiday over the phone and tell them up front you want to do the upgrade, but then they’d charge you a bit more for a phone booking in the first place. Probably worth trying that as it would work out cheaper if achievable.
Call and have them sort it out. I’ve done it, and there shouldn’t be any additional fee because you can’t do this online.
